OS X.5 / X.6 - Icon-Replacement
To replace the standard-icons in (Snow) Leopard show the package-contents in the Finder of the following two folders and move to /Contents/Resources in them:
/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle
You will find .icns-files in there ... replace them with the desired ones and watch for the correct names (including caps).
